The Marin School, an independent college-preparatory high school in San Rafael, California, is seeking a Campus Operations Assistant.

The core role of the campus Operations Assistant is to support the Director of Technology and Facilities, anticipate the needs of school faculty and staff members, to ensure they have the facilities support they need to do their jobs to the highest possible standard.
Flexible Schedule (75%-100% Exempt Position): Monday – Friday: Preferably 6-8 hours a day. Negotiable. Split Shift is also available.
Occasional weekend/after hours to support school events.
Annual salary depends on experience and schedule. Range: $45,000 - $55,000

Maintenance and care of our campus and facilities are very important. Tasks would include, but are not limited to:
Facilities and Operations Support:
Custodial tasks and simple routine maintenance including the weekly scheduled cleaning of classrooms, bathrooms, modular office, library & learning center, and small employee break room.
Basic facilities maintenance duties including minor repairs and maintenance of facilities and campus grounds.
Helps with special school events - set up, take down, facility rental.
Transport 3-5 students to San Rafael Transit Center daily in a company vehicle and basic maintenance on TMS vehicles: fill up with gas, bring to the car wash, get the oil changed, and bring to the mechanic for repairs when needed.
Basic facilities maintenance duties - comfortable working with hands and commonly used equipment and tools to make minor repairs, assemble furniture, etc.
Ability to work under minimal supervision with the ability to follow through and carry out assignments.
Problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
Be a self-starter: find tasks that need doing and attend to them.
Technical / mechanical / engineering aptitude and the desire to learn new skills.
Able to lift 50 lbs.
Be pleasant to work with, and maintain a positive attitude while working with Staff, Students, Faculty, and Guests of the school.
Some flexibility in schedule would be a big plus! Some evenings and weekend support would occasionally be needed - with the possibility of offsetting regular hours.
Comfortable working with teenagers, and the ability to manage small to moderate size groups of students is a plus.
College diploma is a plus.
