University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ('UEC') supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We're responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.
Temporary, 'non-exempt', benefited position through 7/16/2023 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance).
Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

The Cybersecurity Center (CSC) at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) is a pioneer in cybersecurity education. In 2008, the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) designated CSUSB as a Center of Academic Excellence (CAE) in Information Assurance. A CAE designation is a coveted recognition for cyber schools as it demonstrates the standard of excellence for cyber education in the Nation. As a reflection of our excellence, in 2021, CSUSB was redesignated as a CAE in Cyber Defense Education (CAE-CD) through 2028, recognized for our specialty areas in Cyber Investigations and Network Security Administration.
The Cybersecurity Center a CSUSB manages 12+ grant projects supporting Cybersecurity Education Nationwide.
30 hours per week. Schedule to be arranged, but typically, Monday-Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm though some nights, weekend work may be required.

Under minimal supervision of the Cybersecurity Director, the Executive Assistant will work independently to:
The Assistant to the Cybersecurity Director will set their own priorities regularly and manage multiple work priorities. Help set priorities for others but are primarily accountable for their own work results. Travel occasionally to assist the Director. Plan and coordinate clerical work activities and provide lead work direction and/or training and assistance to others in work processes and procedures. Perform assignments that are varied involving the regular use of judgment and discretion. Take courses of action, which are guided by some interpretation of policies and procedures. Develop creative solutions to a variety of problems addressed. Run budget reports and/or provide budgetary support to the Director. Perform reception duties, including the filing of documents, answering telephones, typing forms, letters, and memos, and performing other clerical duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or like field
Experience: +2 years of administrative experience
General knowledge of office methods, procedures, and practices, and a working knowledge of correct English, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Applicants must possess fundamental writing skills to effectively communicate standard information.
Applicants must possess the ability to use standard office equipment, along with the ability to use standard word processing and related computer software packages.
Applicants must possess the ability to perform basic arithmetic functions, along with the ability to respond to basic routine inquiries and explain standard policies and procedures to others.
Applicants must possess the ability to work cooperatively with a diverse campus community.
Applicants MUST have prior knowledge of grant-funded project management support.
Applicant MUST have prior knowledge of cybersecurity education and of the Grant-funded projects CHIRP, SFS, DoD CySP, and the CAE-C Community.
