Under the direction of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, the Executive Director of the Student Center is responsible for the management of the New Student Center, a 150,000 square foot facility with three floors that opened September of 2018, which is vital for the recruitment of new students and retention of continuing students. The Executive Director oversees the processes of strategic planning, budget development, personnel management, and assessment. The Executive Director is also responsible for the following areas: Campus Recreation Center, Intramural Sports, Swimming Pool, University Event Center, Harrison Auditorium and the Student Center, providing quality services, programs and amenities to the campus and surrounding communities.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit:
The Student Center has a variety of meeting and multipurpose spaces to accommodate most student events or programs. There are 15 small to large meeting rooms, three study rooms, two multipurpose spaces, lounge areas and a ballroom. These spaces are equipped with audio/visual needs and resources to ensure event and program success. Units occupying the Student Center are the Student Center Administration, University Event Center, Office of Student Activities & Campus Involvement, Student Government Association, Office of Leadership and Civic Engagement, Office of Intercultural Engagement, Aggie OneCard, and Barnes & Noble Bookstore.
The Student Center also houses several eateries and other spaces; Marketplace Dining, Elements Convenience Store, Bistro 1891, Aggie Wings, Chick-Fil-A, Sub Connection, Einstein Bagels, Recreation and Gaming Room, Banquet and Events spaces. In addition, it offers an array of services, conveniences and amenities for students, faculty, staff, alumni and guests.

Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration, College Student Personnel, Student Affairs or related field. Three – five years of experience in a college or university setting related to facilities, operations, facility management, management/ supervision, or residence/housing operations. Budget management, marketing, staff performance management, program assessment, computer software knowledge, written and verbal communication, and facility management.
