Repairs and services grounds equipment including, but not limited to, one cylinder gasoline- powered equipment to six-cylinder diesel-powered back hoes, wood chippers, chain saws, blowers, and various lawn mowers by receiving work orders; communicating with the Call Center, the supervisor, and the equipment operators; picking up equipment when necessary; performing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs; referring some major overhaul work to outside vendors; and ensuring that equipment is in safe working order and compliant with national and local codes and regulations; ensuring that all work performed follows the departmental and OSHA safety guidelines, policies, and regulations; and exhibiting professionalism in conduct, appearance, and work practices. Performs routine-planned maintenance and inspections of the campus wide emergency generators and by developing or implementing a planned maintenance schedule, physically observing equipment, repairing and/or servicing equipment.

High school diploma and 2 years general equipment repair experience. Driver's license required.
