What makes a fantastic Director, Data Insights Business Development & Sales?
As the Director, Data Insights Business Development & Sales you are the lead salesperson for a suite of data and advertising technology services.
To be successful in this role, you need to have a proven track record of driving complex solutions sales and revenue growth. The Director, Data Insights role will need to align prospects' marketing and advertising vision and requirements with the Fiserv Analytics Solutions portfolio to deliver differentiated customer value. This position will be accountable to achieving the sales quota for the data insights products and solutions. As the strategic advisor to the client, you will have an in-depth understanding of the clients' business, goals, and strategies as well as industry trends and directions.
To be successful in this role, you will be responsible for:

Generating new demand, revenue and profit margin for Fiserv with a target list of client prospects across all verticals including Retail, Restaurant, Grocery, Convenience Store, Entertainment, Concessions, Insurance, Financial Services, Telecommunications, Technology, and more.

Achieve the sales quota for the data insights business.

Work closely with the Vertical sales reps to build pipeline in their territories.

Align closely to the Analytics and Digital Commerce product teams to drive new product offerings.

Leveraging understanding of advertising and marketing purchasing cycles, decision making processes, advertising technology, and competitive offerings to successfully position and sell Fiserv products to large and medium sized merchants

Establish a regular cadence of communication with clients at all levels and disciplines by effectively articulating the Fiserv value proposition.

Lead multiple opportunities concurrently in various stages of the selling cycle.

Identifying, executing and closing new business following Fiserv's sales process methodology.

Understanding and executing sales pipeline, forecasting, and commit to purchase process with high degree of accuracy accelerating time to revenue.

Build a sales plan, work that plan and evaluate and revise as required to maximize business opportunity. Lead and develop account strategies including growth plans, budget and project timelines.

Own the Pipeline target/achievement and sales metrics for the data insights business

Develop a business case and presentation of client proposal with a set of solutions, financial justification and expected results to overcome objections and win the business with maximum revenue/margin.

Ensures proactive accountability to the client leading to enhanced client experience. Be able to elevate and bring to closure client issues quickly and effectively with a sense of urgency.

Collaborates across the organization to ensure client needs are being met.

Must be able to work in a virtual team setting to coordinate the appropriate resources to meet varying client requirements. This will include solution consultants, product owners, data scientists and implementation/service resources to generate new opportunities and greater share of wallet with clients.
Qualifications for consideration:

Bachelor's degree
-
5+ years of experience in software, technology, or data services sales and/or business development roles across multiple verticals including Retail, Restaurant, Grocery, Convenience Store, Entertainment, Concessions, Insurance, Financial Services, Telecommunications, and Technology with successful demonstrated performance against quota for multiple years

5+ years in working within advertising technology or data services to Chief Marketing Officers or Chief Digital Officers

Possess a fundamental understanding of solution selling. Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships at a very senior level with clients gaining trusted advisor status

Demonstrated influencing and negotiation skills

Background in insurance business or financial processes, banking, card processing, merchant processing, check services, prepaid and alternative payments is a significant plus.

Experience in technology software or data services sales to large accounts.

Ability to travel up to 40%
