Venetian Golf Club is currently searching for a highly motivated, team-oriented individual for the position of Equipment Manager.

The Equipment Manager is an integral part of the management team. The Equipment Manager will communicate daily with the Superintendent on what is in the best interest for the golf course equipment and turf care facility.  At times, the Equipment Manager will be expected to assist the team in the field to fulfill daily duties. Assistant Equipment Managers encouraged to apply.

Required Duties 

• Oversee and manage all equipment
• Maintain cutting units to provide modern day golf expectations
• Develop and track all preventive maintenance practices including small equipment such as blowers, weed whackers, etc.
• Responsible for ordering, purchasing, and picking up (when necessary) parts to ensure quick turn around
• Perform administration duties such as log books, PM maintenance records, and budget tracking
• Work with the Golf Course Superintendent in developing annual operating and capital budgets as well as schedule time to perform maintenance tasks on daily use equipment during season
• Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the profession
• Ensure proper cleanliness of equipment and maintenance shop

Requirements

• Golf course experience is preferred but not required
• Extensive knowledge in Hydraulic, small engine, gasoline and diesel systems
• Ability to understand electrical schematics and troubleshooting
• Heavy equipment experience
• Knowledge in theory of reel and bed knife grinding preferred
• Demonstrated strong written, verbal, interpersonal & communication skills
• Ability to adapt and work in an ever-changing environment
