The General Manager of PUI & SS (“the business”) leads and directs the businesses through a team of functional leaders and managers. Key goals include:
Meet or exceed revenue and profitability (EBITDA) expectations.
Continuously meeting or exceeding customer needs in service (industry standard lead-time), product quality, reliability and ‘product value’.
Execute and achieve the strategic and annual business plan.
Defining the product vision, direct the product planning team with responsibility for execution throughout the product life cycle.
Build and direct an engaged business line team focused on goal achievement.
Interact with customers, functional team members and shop floor associates to ensure the objectives of the business are met or exceeded.
The PUI & SS General Manager is one of the senior leaders of RPUI and as such will work, coordinate, and communicate with peers and other senior functional leaders in the Company to help ensure the company meets its objectives and goals. The PUI & SS General Manager will report directly to the President of RPUI.
Develop and execute the strategic plan for the businesses.
Responsible for developing annual budget and any required re-forecasts.
Ensure continuous improvement by initiating and executing projects to identify, address, and improve KPI performance (sales revenue, product margin, EBITDA, safety, quality, delivery, productivity, manufacturing cost, inventory and working capital)
Monitor and make improvements to KPIs to ensure business growth, service performance to customers, product quality, safety, and profitability.
Work with finance, operations, and supply chain personnel in analyzing and implementing actions to improve profitability.
Develop and implement a commercial growth plan which includes product selection, market pricing and placement (channel decisions).
Analyze market to identify and execute growth opportunities.
Build company image by collaborating with customers, local government, community organizations and employees.
Develop an operations and resource plan to support the strategic and commercial goals.
Conduct annual Performance Management reviews with direct reports.
Identifies, communicates, and drives implementation of capital investments and improvement projects for the businesses.

Planning, Monitoring, and appraising employee goals and results

Execute development of Product, Data, and Image information for the product portfolio.
Work with the new product development team to develop strategy and assist the NPI team in determining & prioritizing new product opportunities for development and industrialization.
Assist RPUI National Sales Director with relationships of targeted customers.
Assist the RPUI Global Supply Chain Manager in determining New Products to be sourced and / or developed overseas.
Worth with Product Management to determine pricing for all manufactured items and all high-profile sourced items.
Assist the Acumatica Project Manager where needed with the ERP / system architecture design & implementation.
3 years of Operational Leadership plus 2 years of experience as a Manager (with Financial Responsible) or 5 years’ experience as Multi-Functional Leader in the Automotive Industry
Industry experience in high mix, low volume, large SKU count businesses.
Knowledge of automotive products, brands, and related terminology.
Demonstrated ability to set a long-term strategy for a business.
Demonstrated success defining and launching profitable product lines.
Demonstrated ability to influence and change strategy and improve business culture.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (2013 or newer)
Travel 25% - 35% of the time
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Master’s degree in business administration or Engineering.
GM experience of business at least $7 Mil or Senior functional leadership experience in a business of at least $30 Mil.
2 years or more of Global Supply Chain & Ocean Freight Management experience.
Automotive Aftermarket Industry Experience / Restoration Industry experience.
Marketing Experience in B2B business and On-line Direct to Consumer experience.
Knowledge of classic vehicle applications and the Restoration Industry.
Proficient or PMP Certified in Program Management Functions.
Previous e-Commerce experience.
Bilingual (Spanish – moderate skill)
