Performs automotive and equipment maintenance and repairs, including tune-ups, generation system, lights, oil change, and lubrication. Performs repairs including hydraulics. Maintains appropriate records.
Essential Functions of Position:
Repairs trucks and equipment including, hydraulics, welding and maintenance. Completes written costs reports including parts used and labor required.
Performs routine preventive maintenance by State DOT and servicing of trucks and equipment.
Completes written reports of gas, oil, tires, batteries, etc. used and time required for repair.
Maintains inventory of repair parts, gasoline, oil, grease, etc. Notifies Purchasing when tools, material, equipment and supplies should be ordered.
Keeps the shop clean and in working condition. Takes care of all tools and equipment required for performing duties. Must have his/her own tools.
May help in warehouse.
Is expected to work overtime when needed and may be called in to work at any time.
