Established in 2017, Maridoe is a private club on 212 acres of Blackland prairie, surrounding the most extensive private lake in Dallas County. The design of our course was driven by our dedication to not only create a world class golf experience, but also by our desire to compliment and enhance the natural environment. Maridoe has been chosen to host the 2019 Texas Mid-Amateur Championship, the 2019 Trans-Mississippi Amateur Championship, the 2020 Southern Amateur Championship, and the 2021 USGA Women’s Four-Ball. The owner, Albert Huddleston, is a supporter of amateur golf and has always dreamed about building his own club. In a recent article he mentions, “I didn’t necessarily want to build the hardest golf course, but I wanted a layout where players had to think their ways around. A place that was strategic and would make you a better player, whether you are a touring professional or a higher handicapper, and ensure that you are not intimidated by any other golf course after playing there.”
