Head Mechanic

Indian Hills Golf Club (IHGC) is currently accepting Cover Letters and Resumes for the position of Head Mechanic. We are searching for individuals that are looking for 30-40hrs/week, year-round. We encourage anyone with interest to apply including: Assistant Superintendents, Assistant-in-Trainings, Interns, Assistant Mechanics, Head Mechanics, anyone with a knack for working with small engines and equipment. Training for grinding/sharpening cutting units specific to golf course maintenance can be provided by the IHGC. 

The Head Mechanic’s priorities and responsibilities include: Report to the Golf Course Superintendent daily and regularly communicate with the Golf Course Owner and Golf Course Staff about overall fleet maintenance, operation, requirements, troubleshooting, and repair. Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical problems on diesel, electric, and gasoline powered equipment. Keep accurate records of parts purchased, installed, and serviced. Purchase gas, oil, and other necessary equipment/shop supplies.
