Normal Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
Job Summary: The Automotive Detailer I prepares fleet vehicles for dispatching by inspecting, cleaning the exterior and interior and detailing University of Alabama owned Fleet Services vehicles. Notifies technicians when oil change or other service or maintenance is required. Transports fleet vehicles to off-campus locations as required. Maintains a clean and safe work environment, maintain assigned equipment, monitor supply levels, and maintain self-service vehicle cleaning stations.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Ability to read and write and follow both oral and written instructions. Must be able to lift, handle and maneuver tools, materials and supplies of the job. Valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable MVR as determined by the insurance carrier.
Skills and Knowledge: Must have good oral and written communication skills, attention to detail and organizational skills. UA Core competencies: Adaptability/Flexibility; Student-Customer Focused; Ethics and Integrity, Collaboration and Building Relations and Self-development.
Preferred Qualifications: HS Diploma or GED. Previous automotive detailing experience.
