The Equipment Manager will provide outstanding maintenance and repair procedures for the golf course equipment, owner’s equipment, and ranch equipment. The maintenance shop equipment includes a Golf Lift, Golf Table, Foley 653 reel grinder and Foley 672 bedknife grinder. The Equipment Manager will assist in planning equipment purchases and maintenance facility expansion to accommodate an additional nine holes.
Responsibilities: The Equipment Manager, under supervision of the Assistant Superintendent and/or Superintendent, will institute and oversee a comprehensive preventative maintenance and repair program for the golf course equipment, ranch equipment and owner’s equipment. The golf course fleet was purchased in 2018. The ranch and owner’s equipment includes trucks, trailers, motorboats, tractors, ATV’s, UTV’s, golf carts (6) and backup generators. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to equipment repair, record keeping, inventory, placing orders and purchasing parts and supplies, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. The Equipment Manager will also assist in golf course maintenance tasks as needed including weekend course monitoring and crew supervision.
Ability to present a clean and safe work environment
Ability to train, encourage and develop a seasonal staff of 20+ in equipment operation
Equipment operation of spreaders, sprayers, and tractor implements
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime when necessary
Golf course experience with a technical degree in a related field is desired
Knowledge of maintenance, repair, and sharpening of reel and rotary cutting units
Knowledge of gasoline, diesel, and 2-cycle engines including Tier 4 standards
Knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, fabrication, and welding
Strong record keeping and organizational skills. Experience with Toro MyTurfPro helpful

Wapika Ranch, a unique private family retreat and working ranch, is seeking a qualified full time Golf Course Equipment Manager. The nine-hole golf course is managed to provide outstanding playing conditions for the owner, his family, and limited guests. We anticipate less than 300 rounds of golf during 2021. The course is located at 6925’ elevation in a remote rural area on the upper Green River 20 miles south of Pinedale, Wyoming. The par 36, 3652-yard design utilizes the Green River and its tributaries, natural wetlands, irrigation ditches, 5 ponds and an abundance of wildlife to create a unique test of golf that is both challenging and playable for all golfers. The facility is in the planning stages for an additional nine holes.
